Product Overview:
The Electronic Circuit Breaker System - Power Hub streamlines the electrical wiring of experimental aircraft while providing the pilot with enhanced control over the airplane’s electrical system. This advanced system integrates solid-state circuit breakers and a smart trim controller, simplifying installation and reducing the overall complexity of the electrical system.
The Power Hub replaces traditional mechanical circuit breakers with a solid-state design that allows the pilot to monitor, configure, and control each circuit breaker via standard ON-OFF switches or through compatible EFIS systems. With built-in safety features such as current monitoring and overload protection, the Power Hub adds an extra layer of safety and convenience during flight.
Key Features:
- Solid-State Circuit Breakers: Provides reliable and efficient control of power output lines with real-time monitoring.
- Per-Line Current Limits: Each circuit breaker (CB) line is configurable with specific current limits to prevent overloads.
- Built-In Smart Trim Controller: Manages pitch, roll, rudder trims, and flaps with intelligent control based on airspeed to prevent abrupt movements.
- EFIS Integration: Monitor and configure circuit breakers and trim controls through compatible EFIS models, such as the ELM1000 and ELM350.
- Visual Monitoring: Real-time data on current flow and CB status displayed on EFIS for easy monitoring during flight.
In-Flight Features:
✔️ Solid-State Circuit Breakers: Efficiently control power distribution to various systems with built-in protection against over-current and short circuits.
✔️ Current Monitoring & Alerts: Visualize real-time current flow and receive alerts if a preset limit is exceeded.
✔️ Smart Trim Controller: Automatically adjusts trim speeds based on airspeed to avoid sudden movements, with "runaway trim" protection that disables the trim button if held too long.
✔️ Flaps Control: Set and control flap positions for optimized flight performance.
✔️ EFIS Compatibility: Seamlessly integrates with ELM1000 and ELM350 EFIS systems for enhanced system control.
Simplified Electrical System Installation:
The Power Hub significantly reduces the complexity and wiring needed in an aircraft’s electrical system. It consolidates the functionality of traditional mechanical circuit breakers while allowing for greater control and customization. Each circuit breaker can be monitored, configured, and assigned to one of 24 external analog switches, making it possible to manage multiple breakers with a single switch. In case of an overload, the circuit breaker will automatically disconnect and trigger a warning on the EFIS.
Built-In Intelligent Trim System:
The integrated smart trim controller provides precise control over pitch, roll, rudder trims, and flaps motors. It automatically adjusts trim speeds based on airspeed to ensure smooth and safe operation, and features a safety system that disables trim buttons if pressed for too long. Flap positions can also be preset, allowing for more accurate control during various phases of flight.
Specifications:
- Input Voltage: +10V to +15V DC
- Outputs: 15A - 3 lines, 10A - 7 lines, 5A - 24 lines
